Sam's accent

I've heard mention of Sam having an accent, but have never heard her speak. Just out of curiosity I'd like to know what it is. Is it just her voice actress's accent or did she modify her voice for the role?

From reading the books I'm thinking she's going to have a british accent, though I could be mistaken...

The actress is from Australia...but I haven't heard the game to see if she changed it for the game or not.

She has done a lot of video game voice work.

Chloe in Uncharted

Morrigan in Dragon Age: Origins

Admiral Xen, Matriarch Aethyta, and Rachni Envoy in Mass Effect 2 and 3

Helena in Crysis

Artemis in God of War

And a few others....but those are the only games I've played. Along with several movies and TV shows.

She should have a Russian accent...something about female ruski BAMFs just can't be beat :p

A person PM'd me and said that she had an american accent, but idk. Maybe they changed it or something because the Gears wiki where I heard it under the personality section says her "accent also made her sound even more aggressive than she already is". I don't really see American accents as aggressive. I think a Russian, British, or Australian accent would sound very cool though

she has an australian accent and is even more BA than I imagined. I watch a bit of leaked campaign and ooooh does this game look good..

Yeah i just watched a leaked multiplayer video (couldnt resist the temptation) and i heared her say 'i need ammo' and she sounded australian to me.

sounds pretty cool to be honest i like the accent

Me too. In my video she was jokingly flirting with Cole. Then Baird tried to sell her to a horny stranded for some bacon :p

lol:) flirting is half the fun of xbox

WOW, another old thread revived!

There is no such thing as a British accent, Britain is made of of 3 different countries [England, Scotland, Wales] as you know with completely different accents, what you mean by a British accent is an English accent.
