RUMOUR: Halo CE, Halo 2, Halo 3 on Steam (PC)

This is purely speculation currently, but it got me a bit excited, so I thought i'd post.  For those unaware, Steam is a digital distribution platform for PC games, and apparently a number of games were added to the Steam database for testing, including Halo CE, Halo 2 and Halo 3.

It also appears community hubs for the 3 games have been added:
Halo CE: http://steamcommunity.com/app/216760
Halo 2: http://steamcommunity.com/app/216780
Halo 3: http://steamcommunity.com/app/216800

This article gives more details: http://www.gamechup.com/steam-database-shows-fez-dyad-halo-3-and-plenty-of-entries/

While it seems incredibly unlikely that these Halo titles would be released on Steam, how awesome would it be for a release of all three games on the Steam platform.  Halo on PC with an active online community through Steam servers and the addition of Steam Workshop would be absolutely amazing.  I want this to happen.

the only reason this could be a good thing is this means MS is giving up on GFWL

I think MS gave up on GFWL along time ago, it was a complete failure and in part contributed to Halo 2 PC's failure.

I like GFWL and play it often. I bought Batman: Arkham City GOTY for GFWL today. I hope it doesn't go away.
