This is my first Xbox and I'm having some issues getting started with playing games. I'm trying to play Resident Evil 5 in Offline Cooperative Play. I'm guessing that I choose "Play Game" from the menu screen and then select "New Game." Once the game starts I believe the second player needs to hit their "start" button which then brings both players to the Item Management screen. Both players then hit the A button and start the game in split screen mode.
My question is this: every time I go to play this game it says I don't have anything set up for saving the game. It then asks me to select a save device which in my case is the Xbox hard drive. I don't have any USB sticks in the USB ports. The only place I could save a game is the Xbox hard drive. Is there a way to make this happen automatically without my having to select it every time I want to play a new game?
Also, when playing in Offline Cooperative Play, is all of the game information for both players characters saved under 1 of the two profiles being used or does each players profile have game saved information for just their character?
When I want to continue playing where I left off do I just select "Continue" from the Game Mode? Will it automatically recognize both controllers being active (assuming they are at the time I hit the "Continue" selection) and put me in split-screen mode (Offline Cooperative Play) at my last saved location or does the second player still have to hit the start button to bring both players back to the Item Management screen before the game will enter into split screen mode?
