"We Can't Sign You In To Xbox Live"

Hello all,

I keep seeing this error message while trying to log in to my Games app on Windows 10. I am running a genuine Pro (x64) version of Windows on my Sony Vaio F Series laptop. I am in Iran. Here is a screenshot of the message I get every time I try to log in and play some games:

I have already tried logging in to xbox.com using my account successfully.

I have tried another Microsoft account too which didn't make any difference.

Just to check, when this started did you try a full restart of your PC to see if you're still getting this error? Also, if you have 2-step verification enabled on your account you will need to create an app-specific password in order to sign in successfully. This may explain why you're able to sign into Xbox.com but not into the Games app.
