Problems adding an MP3 folder on my Synology 212j in the music library in Windows 8

Hello!

I have a Synology DiskStation 212j where I saved all my MP3 music in a folder

When I try to add the folder in the music libraries on my Windows 8 PC i got a error message beacuse the folder is not indexed

Assuming that the folder is not Windows 8 indexed

Then I did a workaround and linked folder to the Music libraries according to Windows Help

So now my mp3 files is in the music library and I can play them in Windows Media Player but not in Xbox Music.

Is there some way to get the MP3 files in Xbox Music?

Folder must be on a Windows operating to make it work?

I do not want to add to the music on my computer

 Yours sincerely

Håkan

Hello LoganSwe,

Where did you get those mp3 files from?  There are music files that the Xbox 360 doesn't support that a Windows PC would.  We have information on our Microsoft Support page with Frequently asked questions about video and audio playback for your Xbox 360 console.

Have a look at that and check your files for compatibility.  Let us know what you find out.

Thanks.

I am having the same issue.  My MP3 files come from a variety of sources (Amazon, ripped from CD, Itunes,, even Xbox Music).  No files show up out of thousands of MP3s.

Hi Kp. If you could go ahead and create a fresh thread, detailing your troubles a bit more, that would be great. Thank you!
