Problem dowloading COD Black Ops II Map Pack

Good evening. I am still having problems downloading the Apocalypse Map pack for COD Black Ops II. When I go into the in game store it says I have purchased it but when it gets to the screen where it is supposed to add it to my active downloads I get Status Code d0000185. Is there a fix for this or is this the same problem everyone was having last week? Thanks.

if you purchased the season pass you would download it from in game if not then from the store. if its not working then delete the content from the console clear system chache delete and redownload profile, then restart the console. after doing so go to your download history in you account and redownload the content. it should work

This does not work. I do not have a season pass so that was not the problem. I have done the clear system cache, redownload and restart. This also does not work. I switched over to Rock Band 3 to see if I could download a song there and I get the same status code. I know there is something wrong on Live because they had an announcement about it last Thursday when all this started which mysteriously disappeared.

Test your connection through the xbox and see what the errors are that it comes up with. if that doesn't tell you your problem check out this link for more help support.xbox.com/.../error-code-D000-0185

In addition the active downloads screen will not load nor does anything I have purchased show up in recent downloads. I redownloaded my profile, cleared my system cache several times, disconnected and reconnected my hard drive and checked my connection several times. Any other tips out there?

More on this, I went into my game files for COD BLOPS 2 and found that the DLC was supposedly downloading because it said incomplete. I tried to delete this file but it says I have to cancel the download first. I can't cancel the download because I cant get the active download screen to load. It keeps saying content is unavailable at this time try again later. I have plenty of space (more than 40 gb) on my hard drive so I dont know what could be wrong.

Hey there Irish,

Sorry to hear you're still having an issue downloading your map pack.

It definitely sounds like you've done a lot of troubleshooting for this. I would recommend trying these steps in this order:

  • Delete your marketplace system data
      1. On your console, go to settings, and then select System.
      2. Select Storage, and then select your primary storage device.
      3. Select System Items.
      4. Select Marketplace System Data.
      5. Select Delete.
  • Clear your system cache - 3 times
  • Turn off your console
  • Disconnect your console from the internet (If you're using wireless, turn off the router/modem)
  • Turn on your console
  • Delete the incomplete download of CoD
  • Restart your console
  • Reconnect to Xbox Live
  • Download your profile
  • Try to download the content from the Marketplace



I know that seems really complicated but your issue seems kinda wonky and I think that will help us isolate things individually and see if we can resolve things.


Please let us know how that all goes and we'll work from there.

I'm having the same issue but I did by the season pass.  I am not getting any error codes, it says that it's downloaded but when I go back in to play it says that I still need to download it.  Do I follow the same steps?

Hey there Doc,

If you downloaded a Season Pass you'll still need to download each individual pack through the in-game store.

If you have downloaded each of the individual packs, I would recommend the steps above.
