You can play Xbox downloaded content on two different Xboxes if:

1.   One person is using the (licensed) account that downloaded the content.

2.   The other person is using the (licensed) Xbox that downloaded the content.

---------------------------

If neither wishes to use the account that downloaded the content, you will need to buy the content for the other Xbox. (using a different account).   You can also transfer the license from one Xbox to the other (every 3 months), but that doesn't sound like it would help you.

Unfortunately microsoft would like you to purchase the game twice. Its only fair, especially since they are at two seperate locations. Good call getting the family package, especially with two other kids. You can each play single player one at a time or at the same time on two different xboxs sometimes but if you guys want to enjoy playing on live with each other at the same time then you will have to purchase another copy of the game. Hope this is helpful, enjoy your family gaming.

Hi zog32,

If it's a downloaded version then you will be able to access the game on the console that it was first purchased on with any account. And then you can access the game with the account that bought it while signed in to Xbox LIVE on any console. If this is a disc based game, then you will need to purchase 2 copies of the game. Hope this clears up any questions. Thanks!
