Penalized for spending too much money!! FIX THIS!!

My account was flagged for purchasing too many points on Tuesday & I still cannot purchase microsoft points on the marketplace or xbox.com.  What kind of business tells you we don`t want your money because you spend tto much?  I`ve been using this account for almost 6 years & now they decide to limit my spending on the marketplace.  This is the thanks we get for being such committed customers?  I am 1 of many power buyers suffering this travesty!  You need to find a different system for flagging people.  I`m sick of the inconvenience!!  Fix the problem please!!!

Have you tried another creditcard ?

If another card doesn't work then it's a billing lock for too many purchases in a short time

You will need to call Xbox support

Now if it is just the one card then you will have to call your bank to check If it is a fraud lock

This is done with your bank

Banks and payment processors only allow certain amount of purchases from one provider or company in a short period I made 6 purchases one day in 30mins and my creditcard was locked and i got a personalized call from my bank asking if I had made those purchases on my cellphone That's card protection There's is little ms can do about that

The call came on my cellphone which was on file with my bank

It had triggered a fraud lock

Tried 3 different payment methods with the same result.  Contacted Microsoft & they told me it was my bank.  Called the bank & they said everything was fine on their end.  Called Microsoft again & then they told me my account was flagged because of too many purchases.  Already know the problem, they need to fix it.

Creditcard fraud lock is thru your credit card department fraud division

Not thru the general banking

Talk to a Xbox billing supervisor or tier 2 support. For billing locks

It can take 48 hours before a billing lock is unlocked

Suggestion buy block amount not small transactions

Too many small transactions can lead to a fraud lock on your card side

My card is not locked, it works everywhere else.  Many people are having the same problem.

trust me your bank will lock if too many transaction is spent in a short period with the same provider

ask your bank about their fraud policies if they do not have one then you should question why that is, thats fraud protection

and you cannot go based on everyones experience for two reasons

first everyone uses a different transaction method or have different issues like not the correct region or they are using a prepaid card

past due balance etc

and each experience has different troubleshooting like going to your bank if it only occurs with one bank or billing if it occurs with all or there is a typo in your billing info

Contacting the cardholder to request verification
