Only available on xbox?

I have purchased quite a few seasons of series on Xbox but use an android phone and tablet so I think I'm done going through Xbox video since I doubt that they will ever allow me to watch it on those devices and Vudu does, does anyone know is the quality of the audio and video the same on Vudu? I will be using the app on my 360 still if that makes a difference thanks.

Hey there, sorry to hear that Xbox Video isn't working out for you.  You can definitely request an app for Android over here though: forums.xbox.com/.../133.aspxlist  As for Vudu, you'd want to hit up the app makers for specifics on that.  Best of luck with your future movie watching!

Perhaps not right that I should post this here, but the tilte of the thread made me look due to my issue.

 

It states that anything purchased off Xbox Video can be viewed on Xbox, Surface tablet etc, however, I have purchased a series (Being Human series 1) on my Xbox, but the option to view on my Surface RT tablet is not available.  Any reason?

 

In fact only series 4 is available to purchase on the tablet where more is available via the Xbox... surely this is one marketplace no?

 

Any insight appreciated.

When you say it is not available on your Surface RT, do you mean it is not there, or is just grayed out?

It adds the tiles of the episodes to the "my videos" section on the surface, but when you select them there is no option to play??

Strangely these are available on my W7 laptop via the Zune software??

Even though they were purchased through Xbox Music and not through Zune??

None of my other video purchases show up in Zune though.... it is all rather strange!

That is quite strange.. Have you tried re-installing the Xbox Video app on your Surface RT?

If not, please follow the steps below to complete a full uninstall.

1)      Right click on the app’s tile

2)      Select “Uninstall” and confirm

3)      From the Metro UI, type “WSReset.exe” and press enter

4)      After you see a confirmation the store cache has been reset, reinstall the app


Keep me posted on how that works for you!
