Hi Ape,

I work on the TV team and I have the RNG200N in my office and tested with it every day. It's possible that the IR from the Kinect isn't reaching your STB. You should be able to go through STB detection with brand=Comcast.

Can you try moving the Kinect around, maybe holding it 5 feet from the STB and seeing if that works?

Ape, I have a Cisco as well.  I had to type the whole model in to get it to work. Like "Cisco RNG150N" and then it asked me if I wanted to do it manually and the I just typed in the model number and that did the trick.  Automatic didn't work for me.

Ah I had the Motorola version of the RNG200N...that could be the difference (but it really shouldn't be).

Hey I'm having the same problem but I can't get it to ask me 'manually' for the model number. I have the same Cisco RNG150N through comcast and I can't get it to trigger. Comcast and Cisco goes through straight to the check, with the "Cisco RNG150N" taking me to verify "Cisco". I can't do a more specific option. I'm in the DC area so I bet there's a bunch of Cisco RNG150Ns out here.

Still not working. I've tried 5 ft, 2 ft with the kinect facing the stb, I've tried below the tv, above, etc.  Given this I don't think an IR extender will work.

Is there an option to enter the model number manually? Meaning more than just Cisco?

I have the Cisco RNG200N and it doesn't work for me either.  Looking to get a new one from Comcast tomorrow.

Hey Lynith my RNG150N wasn't working until I did the following. Worth a shot before you run off to comcast.

from home screen:

1) Settings -> TV & OneGuide Settings -> Devices

2) Cable or satellite box model

3) Enter Cisco

4) Do not select automatic, choose Enter it for Cable or satellite box

5) RNG200N or RNG150N or whatever version ya got

6) continue on through, head on back to TV and cross your fingers.

Feedback to xbox cable setup pm: The inputting of the actual model number is a little hidden because most of us do the default set up path. Putting in model number as an option if the whatever brand model doesn't work should be a P0 I'd think.

Hey guys,

If you go to TV & OneGuide ->Troubleshooting -> Remote codes -> Cable box, what codeset is listed for when you entered Cisco RNG150N?

So I have my Xbox One connected to one of the companion boxes and it took me a  while to get mine to work. I ended up entering the info for my DVR. (Brand=Arris and Model=MX011ANM).  After I did that, my Xbox One would change channels on my X1 companion box through my Xbox One.   I'm still not sure how to watch recorded shows from my existing DVR through the Xbox One.  My X1 menu bar does not show up on my screen, so I can't watch my recorded shows.
