One guide not working

I have my cable box plugged directly into the xbox and the xbox directly plugged into my tv if I change channels with my tv remote it works but when I tell the xbox to change a channel it won't do anything. The xbox however thinks its on the channel I requested, for example if I turn on the discovery channel using my remote it changes to that channel if I tell the xbox to go to espn I stay on discovery channel but the xbox displays that I'm on espn not sure what's going on anyway to fix this?

Thanks, I'm assuming you tried to go through your set top box setup with either TWC or Cisco as the brand?

You can go through it again by going to TV & OneGuide settings -> devices -> cable/satellite box. From there you can try to detect the STB again.

If neither Cisco nor Time Warner work as brands. You can try typing in the Cisco model #.

If that doesn't work, here's a crazy idea that worked for TWC Samsung STB users - Go through STB detection with Comcast as the brand (don't change any guide stuff, just for your cable box setup).
