Offline DLC content issue, help needed

Okay, try to follow me here. At my home, I don't have broadband internet (literally doesn't come to my house), so no online stuff. But I do have a gold account so I can bring my Xbox to my Bro's house ever so often and play online, buy content/arcade games etc. I re-did my license after I got a new hard drive this past holiday season. So all my downloaded content has worked fine.

Usually as I said above I would take my  Xbox over to my Bro's to play. Instead of doing that, I just moved my profile (This one, actually) on a re-formated USB drive, went over there, moved it on to an extra console he had laying around and played while I visited a couple of days. Good stuff since I had a pass for GOW 3 beta! until I came back home and moved it back on to my console. Now my DLC doesn't work for my games, but I can play my arcade titles for some reason.

What did I do wrong? My Bro and Nephew convinced me I would be fine moving my profile. It seems like I messed up my license or something. Can anyone tell me how to fix this so I play my downloaded game content offline again. Thanks for reading this lengthy post.

We have a sticky post relating to the inability for you to play DLC offline. Basically if you purchased this content on your brother's Xbox console, the console (offline) license is attached to that console. You will need to do a license transfer (steps at the above link) to transfer the license to your console. Keep in mind that you would have to connect your console to Xbox LIVE at least for the duration of the transfer (just a few minutes).

Thank you for responding to my post but I never bought any new content / live arcade titles while I was over at my brother's.

So for the DLC in question, was it purchased with your account, on your console?
