I had the 30 day trial and then purchased the monthly package. Now, i'm not able to play songs that I downloaded during the trial period.
Is this normal?

No I havent because it's a lot of work...but if that's the case I guess there's no option.
Although now it seems that I have also issues with downloading new music so maybe this is part of a bigger problem.
Hi there! I wouldn't call that normal. Have you tried deleting those songs, and re-downloading them?
