Not able to play Assassin's Creed IV because of Free with Gold error

Hello. Right after I purchased the console in July I entered the 14 days Gold membership trial. During the trial period I installed a full license of Assassin's Creed IV (downloadable code). During the same period, AC IV was also on FREE WITH GOLD.

My trial period expired and now I can't play my game without a gold membership. I spoke with Xbox Support and they admitted that there is a "bug" in the licensing system and that I should be able to play my game without having a gold subscription.

They recommended in the end to contact Ubisoft Montreal and get a new code as they can't unlock my game. I contacted Ubisoft Montreal and they obviously told me that it's not their problem and that Microsoft should unlock my game as they have full control on the licensing server.

I contacted support again and now nobody replied to my email (2 days ago).

Any thoughts on how to solve my problem?

Sorry to hear it.  Unfortunately this is going to be something that phone support is going to have to solve.  Please give them a call and let them know that you would like to have it escalated.
