noname attached file on e-mail from xbox

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this,

but I was just wondering what the noname file is that is attached to the e-mails from xbox?

It's a blank file, 0KB. Just wondering why it's attached to the e-mail?

Are you 100% sure that email is actually from Xbox, or is it someone impersonating Xbox?  Emails from Xbox would be *** Email address is removed for privacy *** or *** Email address is removed for privacy ***

Yes, it is xbox, it's *** Email address is removed for privacy ***. It only seems to be to e-mails confirming that I have redeemed a code for MS points or xbox live gold. I use google mail and I've heard theres a bug which doesn't show attachments correctly, but should there be an attachment on these e-mails?
