No Streaming Audio When Switch Receiver Input

Hey Guys,

I have my X1 plugged in to a receiver. When I stream while the TV/Receiver are on the right input, my PC gets audio from streaming. When I switch the input on receiver to another source, so I can use the TV while I stream, the streaming audio stops on my PC. Once I switch back, it comes back. If I have to have my TV/Receiver on the same input while I stream, I can't really use this feature in the way I had hoped.

Any ideas?

I have no audio, I wonder if this is my issue as well.  I thought the video and sound were passed over, "streamed" via Ethernet so why would switching the input on your receiver make any difference?

Yeah. When I have my Xbox hooked up to my receiver HDMI audio is set for 7.1 uncompressed. When I stream to PC and change input so I can watch TV as I game, the HDMI audio part says off and I can't change it.

I am guessing the Xbox is relying on the output device to decode audio? It would be nice to find a workaround.

I'm not to much into today's level of gaming; I'm sill more retro gaming guy.  So all of my Blu-ray (PS3, PS4 and X- Box One) based systems are relay only being used for media. If it's true that Windows 10 on X-Box One is the same as one that's offered on desktops and laptops then I will not need to buy copy to run in Apple's Boot Camp since I'm going MAC next year. Good bye and hope you die HP.

Now the real thing.  That audio issue is mostly coursed by the device the HDMI Cable is liked to and/or your wifi network.  So I wound wire your network as much as you can and 2nd look at who makes the TV and Audio system you use they cam fix this better then anyone, on any form, or any site can including their compactors sites .  In my case Sony TV and Sony sound system so if that happens on anything I have to go Sony.
