No 3D support for BluRay?

I put a 3D bluray in my xbox, and it asked me to download the bluray app. Within a few seconds, I had the app and fired it up. I'm immediately presented with a screen saying I need a compatible 3D bluray player. Is this a joke? The PS3 has been playing 3D blurays for years! ANOTHER thing to be disappointed with (controller disconnects every few minutes, kinect cable too short and no extension are my other 2 things so far!) Tempted to box it up and send it back to the supplier!

Oh... And my home screen doesn't show any pictures - just black boxes for everything!

Hi, I've read somewhere that Blu-ray 3D support is not yet available. I was as disappointed as you when I discovered this.

Please MS, make it happen !

G'day P3! Medality is correct; 3D is not supported at this time. As for the other stuff going on, we'll be happy to offer assistance!

Controller disconnects: Does the controller shut off completely, or does it just lose connection with the console? Check out the steps here for starters.

The Kinect sensor cable is 9 feet long. We definitely recommend you set up your play space to accommodate that. Where is your sensor situated currently, and where is it compared to the console?

For your home screen, that is a bit of a pickle. Any chance you'd be able to link to a screenshot?

Will 3D support be added is what I am interested.

What use is a "all in one system" when I have to keep my 3D Blu Ray Player connected as well.

(Bad enough The TV app is not fully functional with Canada yet either but at least I know that is coming..)

Well, this page

support.xbox.com/.../watch-bluray-dvd-movies

used to say "Note The Xbox One Blu-ray player will not support 3D playback at launch.". It's been removed now. Not sure what that means.

Ps4 doesn't do 3d right now either, just one feature they didn't get in for launch I guess
