sounds pretty good, scanning looks alot better than the bore-fest that was mass effect 2. i am, however, worried that scanning and running from reapers will get annoying, especially if you finish every mission and you can't get back into a system. i hope the tags don't hide systems and other tags like mass effect 2 did, that *** got painful to explore once you get further into the game and dlc.

i also want to note that in the video, there seems to be a door at the front separating joker from the rest of the ship. i really wonder why they'd do that...what are they hiding or going to do with it?

Thanks for posting! It does look very interesting, but I agree that it could get old running from Reapers all the time.  Perhaps you can destroy them as you get further into the game.

Thanks to BootstrapGolem for the linkage, I like the sound of this very much, those pesty Reapers are everywhere...:-)

New approach isn't bad, not really intrigued by the Reaper alertness meter and having to play cat & mouse however; but we'll see how it actually ends up as you progress throughout the game..

I like what they have done and you don't have all boring scanning and buying probes. You can tell how much you have to find and don't have to look around when you know you found everything in a system.  With Reapers chasing you, you have to pay attention to what you're doing and makes it more serious than just sticking around, it will not be boring you have to pay attention or get owned and start again.

The thing I notice from reading was that the Citadel is not under Reaper Control...

I like the new approach, very cool. Great video, thanks for the link.

Nice find. Not sure about the running from the Reapers bit tho...

Easy Achievement...:-)

i wonder how long it takes the alertness meter to go down, cause i'd be willing to just wait while it goes away in between scans. i'm sure we'll get upgrades for decreasing scan alertness and alertness meter decrease speed.

THanks for the info!
