New Currency Question

I've been saving 800 microsoft points which was converted to $12.00 today. I was waiting to put the extra microsoft points, which converted to real money is $5.00(400ms). For the CoD DLC that's coming out tomorrow ($15.00)

I can't seem to find an option to add more money to my account. When I add my credit card information, it's not letting me add more money to my account, so I'm assuming I have to pay the full amount instead of just $3.00. I hope this isn't true, I'll be really mad.

Is there a way to pay with both my current balance and my credit card, or am I stuck with paying the full $15.00 instead of $3 and whatever's on my account already?

From what I understand, you should be able to purchase the item using your balance first with the remainder being charged to your card.  I haven't tried that yet, as I have $42 in my account now...but someday it will happen.

Yes, you can do a split payment. Your Microsoft account balance will be used first and then your credit/debit card will be charged the remaining $3. There should be an option somewhere on the confirm purchase window when you go to purchase on the Xbox. Now to be clear, I know they introduced this during the beta, but I'm not 100% sure they've implemented it on the final release yet.

I know one way i managed to add money to my account was by buying mocrosoft points on amazon and using the online code option. Then when you enter the online code it will reimburse your account for the amount that you got.

Can I split payment between my local currency and a credit card?

Yes. For most purchases, if the amount of local currency in your Microsoft account is not sufficient to pay for the content, you can charge the remainder to your credit card or PayPal account. PayPal availability varies by region. However, you must first select to purchase using your credit card or Paypal account and then you will see the option to use the remaining currency in your account.

***Split payment may not be an option for all content purchases.***
