MW3 dated graphics...

so the trailer for the new game is out and well, it just looks like very little went into improving the game graphics (they claim new engine) and it is very cut and paste looking in the visual department.

I didn't notice any upgraded looks either.

Previously known as Win7Xbox 360

The graphics haven't changed much since cod2, there's no point them making them better if people are going to buy the game anyway.

^ That

Big sites like Kotaku aren't saying it's a totally new engine for MW3, but that they've "gone beyond the [MW2] engine". This could mean something as simple as just updating the old id Tech 3 engine. Patching. Yep. That would explain why folks aren't seeing many graphical changes. This doesn't bode well. The old engine has proven problematic at every step.

Here's the link, where they quote FourZeroTwo (Robert Bowling of IW).

Why do people keep saying its new.Robert bowling said months ago they are not going to be using a new engine because the current one is much more efficent.Yes its an ugly engine i agree. But who is feeding people these facts? lol.And what is kotaku on.

Same engine and probably updated/maxed out even more. hopefully the audio get some work though.

Dated graphics!?!?!? Totally disagree. Go play Homefront then come back and talk about just how dated you think CoD graphics are. CoD graphics may not seem upgraded, but they don't really need to be. The CoD graphics have always been one of the better ones out there.

Another reason why Battlefield 3 > MW3.
