Missing Genres ?

All of a sudden I can't see some "Genres" listing under the "All Music" Section of the Windows 8 app....

Jazz, for example. Or vocal comedy....

 

I can search for the album, and play it, but not browse the genre...

What went wrong ? I can also see that the genre was removed from the album's description.

 

I have Xbox Music pass, and live gold.

Having the same issue     Not solved

 

Should have "live" support for subscription members.

 

Also the music player is lacking.  Not an Apple fan but ITunes is so much easier to navigate

I have also been searching for an answer to this problem and this is the only post i can really find. I am also missing the same genres as "spliffuzz" .

One day they were all there and now i only have those mentioned 5 genres. its been like this for about a week now. I wonder how many are having this issue?

Remember that there is an "escalated issues" which is at the bottom of the list, and no one cares.

And there is top priority. We need to push this to the max!

And continue to bug the chat support! Every day if you have to!

Really looking for an MS response on this. For a paid service this is not acceptable.

Very strange that elangabriel is seeing different behavior between his and his wife's account. Is there some connection to Xbox live accounts? Maybe this whole switch to "Xbox" music has fubared things. Whatever it is, it is frustrating and I am losing patience.

I am having a similar issue with my Zune software on Win7. Most of the genres have disappeared on the Home Page of the Marketplace, What is going on? This is really frustrating. The genres that are displayed are "classical, country, r&b/soul, rock and soundtracks". Where is electronic and hip-hop (and the others)?

@spliffuzz Do you access your account from within Canada ?

I'm asking that because Xbox support team thinks the genres issues is because people are trying to access their Xbox music account outside of their account's region. They would not try and look for other reasons for that. I've sent them a link to this thread, and it would help if people here would confirm they're accessing their US/Canadian account from within the country, but still don't see all of the genres since last week or so.
