Missing Achievement

Hi,

I played Fable III and got myself the DLC "Traitors Keep Quest"

I started playing and was able to finish the quest.

What I am missing is the Science And Industry - achievement.

I did defeat Professor Faraday, because otherwise I could not have finished the quest.

So why did I not get the achviement and is there a way to "restore" it??

greetings

Lukas II

Hello Lukas II,

Welcome to the Xbox Support Forums.

Ok, first we can try some basic method's:

Method 1: Re-downloading Xbox Live Profile:

1. Sign-out of your Xbox Live Profile.

2. Press the Xbox Guide Button and then select Download Xbox Live Profile.

3. Enter your E-mail Adress assoiciated with your Xbox Live Profile/Gamertag.

4. Enter your Password associated with your Xbox Live e-mail adress.

5. Select Storage Device to store your Profile (Hard Drive recommended).

6. Sign back in into Xbox Live and try to earn the achievement again.

Method 2: Clearing System Cache:

1. On Xbox-Home, go to Settings and then click System.

2. Click Storage, then Highlight Hard Drive (DO NOT CLICK ON IT).

3. Press the following key-combinations on your controller: LB, RB, X, LB, RB, X and then confirm with Yes.

3.1. This will remove all Updates from your Console. Your console will restart after the operation is complete.

When restarting, your Xbox will re-install the Xbox Updates. When inserting a game, it needs to update first. This is only for a single time, unless the publisher/developer releases a new Update for the game.

4. Try to play the mission again.

Method 3: Deleting corrupted save game:

If you are able to to earn the rest of the achievements, but only this one is locked, then we're talking proberly about a "Corrupted Save Game".

To remove this save game, please do following:

1. On Xbox Home, go to Settings and then click System.

2. Click Storage, then select Apps And Games and then select the game.

3. Remove the save from the game where you have trouble with. Click the Save Game and then press Remove.

If it still didn't work, there is another or more corrupted save games.

Please remove ALL save games from your storage device,

I know it sounds hard, but if it succed you can keep playing again.

If it fails, we have to look deeper within the problem.

Hope to hear from you soon.

so basicly I have to play the entire game again to check if it works? My Girlfriend played the DLCwith her character on the same xbox (with me in coop and she was in coop when I played the DLC)

and she got the achievement right away after defeating Prof. Faraday, so Method 2 is out. I' try redownloading the profile and check it.

thx

No, I would try what FS Thunder just said.  First try to recover your gamertag.  However, DO NOT press delete all content!!!  Be careful when doing this.  Also try clearing your cache.  Highlight your hdd then select options then perform maintenance.

Hi Lukas II.

Ok, then you can either check for a corrupted save. Delete the save game for the current mission if possible. Then play that mission over again.
