Minecraft Won’t install

Completely uninstall the game. Try giving your Xbox a Power Cycle. Reset your modem/router prior to trying to downloading it back. Make sure you are not signed up for Minecraft Beta under the Xbox Insider Hub. Check your DNS settings and set to a DNS that is faster for your region.

Hi agent, so... Minecraft is tiny... it really sounds like an issue with the Minecraft install files or something stuck in your account / profile to do with Minecraft. Seriously, it's one of the smallest games to download.

Definitely try the hard reset or "Full Shutdown" option from the System menu.

It's a longer option, but you could do a full system default reset (saving data, so you don't have to re-download).

If even that does not work, you might have to do a full system default reset, wiping everything. This would obviously mean you lose everything from the Xbox and you'd have to re-download all games/apps, and sync any saves etc. Not a super bad thing, but will take time.

One way to avoid this is to buy an external USB 3 HDD, which is what I do. It will actually load games faster and play faster also, which is a nice side benefit and they are pretty cheap to buy now.

If you do buy a USB 3 HDD for your Xbox, you can "Transfer" everything from your Xbox internal HDD to the USB HDD using the System menu, then turn off and unplug your Xbox, then unplug your USB HDD, then turn the Xbox back on and do the Full system defaults reset and test if Minecraft works fine then. Having everything saved on the USB HDD means you don't have to download it all again.

Oh also, just a thought, but did you sign up for the Minecraft BETA or anything? That might be causing a problem for you.

Yes i did join the minecraft beta and i notice i couldn’t join my friends so i unsubscribed to the beta unistalled minecraft then when i tried installing it back i had issues which leads me to where im at now

This is almost certainly the cause of the issue.

Please read, start to end, and then follow start to end the following guide, from Minecraft support:

So, to try to reset your game/account, follow start to end that guide. Join again, to make sure it is recognised, and then follow that guide to Leave after that, with restarts of the Xbox in between steps to make sure it "sticks".

There is a section on what to do if you get stuck in the beta also at the bottom.
