Minecraft on Ipad appears to lose worlds after I sign in to microsoft

My kids asked to sign in to microsoft so they can play Minecraft on the Xbox and iPad.  We signed into iPad and when we did that the app on the iPad won't launch.  We rebooted the iPad and still no luck.  Ended up deleted and reinstalling Minecraft on the iPad and got in but lost his world.  Just tried with my daughters iPad and same thing.

I'm trying to see if there is a way to get her world back vs having to delete the app and lose her world..

Thanks.

[Translation- what I could do in these cases is play on xbox and see if you still have those worlds and if so, look for any options that say charge or play in]

After 6 plus tries suddenly it opened and her world showed back up.  It looks like we can try resetting my son's ipad as his data was backed up to to icloud for minecraft.

One thing I have noticed when my kids play minecraft from tablets is it is very demanding of memory on the tablets. If they get impatient while things are loading and double tap anything it can crash the game. They have learned to wait till everything loads including their avatars and it seems to get them in. Another thing to do is make sure nothing else is running in the background. I haven't had to delete the app to get it to work but I have had to hard reboot the tablets.

We have taught them the same thing and closing other apps.  This wasn't that.  Basically Minecraft was working fine but once we went to sign them in that's when it kept crashing the app.  I'm not sure why logging would do that but to me it seems like a bug within the minecraft app for some reason.
