Microsoft points won't work

I'm trying to download 800 microsoft points, and when I click confirm purchase, it says, "Can't authorize the selected payment option. Please select a different payment option or add a new one." I added in a new debit card, entered all the information, and when I select the new credit card as the payment option, the exact same screen pops up. (The card has money on it) And I really don't know what to do. I called Microsoft and none  of their suggestions worked. Please help!!!!!! :(

Delete all the payment options you have and then put it in your account.

The system is probably trying to read from an older card.  Go to billing.microsoft.com and delete the older payment methods.  Hopefully this will solve your problem.
