Media Center LIVE TV support?

I've read that Microsoft wants the Xbox One to support ALL sources of LIVE TV, but I haven't heard or read any kind of support for their own product Media Center. I currently have (3) Xbox 360s setup as extenders and I'd love to know if the Xbox One will support Media Center?  I feel it would be a great HDMI pass-thru for the LIVE TV features.

Hey Doc,

WMC and MCE are currently officially unsupported. However, several beta users used HTPCs or 360s effectively. Hopefully you have a similar experience.

My plan later tonight when I get my Xbox One is to use my Xbox 360 as my "set top box" and media center extender, doing HDMI pass through.  Will this work for live TV?  Can I use the new Xbox One guide to control the 360, or will it be back to normal control via remote?

Hi Desolcm, as I mention above, it's technically unsupported. However, I know several beta users that were able to do this successfully, both control with OneGuide and HDMI.

I have a Windows 7 media center PC set up with my Xbox One. While it works in terms of feeding the TV into the Xbox One video app, the "integration" doesn't really work well. Effectively, for me, the OneGuide is pretty useless since Media Center needs to be on live TV for the channel changing capabilities to work. If it's on any other screen (start, recorded TV, guide, etc.) it won't change the channel properly.

I'm just treating the media center as its own "app" and when I'm watching live TV I pick up my Harmony remote. Then I use voice or xbox controller to switch to other apps, etc. within the Xbox One.

I have a Windows 8 computer running Plex server which is currently getting picked up by my raspberry Pi running XBMC and all my movies and TV shows are on my computer but it shows the screen and doesnt work with the OneGuide. Im trying to get it so I can use the OneGuide to control what movies and TV shows to watch on my raspberry Pi but currently with XBMC this doesnt work.

Any suggestions on what I should use on my raspberry Pi for this to work?

sirtwist99 - I followed your guidance and now I can watch live TV via voice control.  Recorded TV will probably have to be done via remote, but I can handle that since it was all via remote before.

I was able to get the remote portion working with my win8.1 htpc, but the one won't set the subchannel for Ota (channel 5 when it needs to be 5.1) and my guide is missing everything other than the primary subchannel, so I also use the remote with wmc a lot.

Hey IMrBlueFox - what isn't working for your Raspberry Pi? IR control for it? Do you have an IR receiver on your Pi?
