the forza games are good and can be set to be quite easy.
I quite liked Blur. Not sure if they mutiplayer is still active.
It's got power-up like Mario Kart kinda.
You could try the demo.
Can't go wrong with Need for Speed Hot Pursuit. It's got flashy cars, cop chases and isn't overwhelmingly complex or difficult. Maybe Dirt 3 or Blur for a more arcadey and varied experience.
Get dirt 3, and he can have a good old play around when he unlocks the gymkhana compounds.
Blur is a great racing game.
Theres actually quite a few racing games out there. I could recommend the following:
Forza 2 and Forza 3. Forza 3 is relatively easy.
Colin Mcrae Dirt, Dirt 2 and Dirt 3.
Project Gotham Racing 3 and 4.
Need For Speed, theres many games in this franchise which are really good.
Most of the games ive mentioned are also at very good prices too, so you'll be getting good games at a great value, hence saving you money
Thanks for the quick replies, heading out to see what I can find on my list
Blur has been mentioned a few times already, but just wanted to let you know that my 10yr old son really loves that racing game.
It has the power-ups that he is familiar with from Mario Kart, but the feel of a "grown-up" racing game.
At least you're not buying him CoD.
