Lego Harry Potter 2/ years 5-7 wont read disc after update

I just opened the game brand new a week ago, played it once,and now after it downloads the newest update it gives a disc read error. I have cleared cache and redownloaded the update numerous times and still does it. I CAN play it without the update, but I can't be on XBOX LIVE while I play. Is there a problem with the update?

OK this confirms it for me, the update is causing disc read errors. I can't play ANY of my games Online or Offline, on any account. My discs are in perfect condition and done everything to attempt to fix it, nothing has worked. :(

I've got the same problem - if I delete the 2 sets of DLC (spells and characters) I can play the game without any problems. Is anyone aware if TT are on this?

I have contacted TT Games to see if they know about the issue. in the mean time there is a couple of things of trying which is clearing the cache which you may have or may not have done already.

Here is a quick guide on how to do it.

Clearing the update cache will allow the console to refresh and download a new update(s) which may be faulty. If you need help clearing the cache follow these steps:

   Navigate to the "My Xbox" channel on the dashboard menu (the console's 'main menu').

   Scroll right, to the last page which is the "System Settings" page.

   Select "Memory" from the list of options.

   Highlight the hard drive and hit Y on your controller.

   Select the option to clear the update cache and perform maintenance on the memory unit.

   Restart your xbox 360 console.

As soon as I hear back from them I will post back on here but you never know this may help.

I have the samething happen to me after downloading the two DLC and I called XBOX support and they could not help me.They gave me a number to call WB games ( 14105683680 ) game  tech support. They tried everything to help me and nothing fixed it so they put it in for programmer review and will email me back. Call that number so they will know we are having a problem with the DLC.

I have this game and this issue after trying many things all you need to do is delete the 2 DLC and then the game will work fine.

You do not need to clear your catch or do anything else. We replaced this game not knowing what the problem was.

I replete Do Not Clear Your Catch unless you want to have to update every single game you play on your xbox again.

Just delete the 2 DLC and hope they fix them soon! The game will work after you delete them I did not even restart the xbox just deleted the 2 DLC and it worked.

Has there been any news regarding this?  I bought the DLC and didn't play the game right away...got involved in other things for a bit.  Now it seems to be too late to get a refund through Live (despite what they say on the service, they do sometimes give you credit back if you can argue the case) and TT isn't answering anything I send them.  So we're all just *** by bad DLC and out the money?

Shame on TT and MS for that, if so.
