Lack of save points.

First off, I love this game and will be getting 1 and 2 tomorrow. My one gripe about ME3 is that you cannot save in battle. Right now I'm entering the final battle I think and I have checked every few seconds for at least a half hour to save while in London and I haven't been able to do so. If I end up dying I'll have to redo everything from a half hour ago. That would suck. At least allow us to save after cutscenes Bioware!! Now on to battle!

Well, I like to save whenever I can, but that's just me...

At some points in the game, it will not allow you to save at the towards the end. It's really okay though. After you complete the game, you have the option of restarting the mission back at the Citadel, which will let you go right ending without dealing with Cerberus or everything on Earth that lead up to that point.

I don't see what the issue is though... it auto-saves very frequently on it's own, like after every battle... I didn't know the save function would have been an issue.

No, if you can't manually save you can't auto save either.

Can't you force an autosave with Select? I tried it early on but never bothered to really test it.

Beer >>> wine lol. Thanks for the info though guys. First Fallout, then Skyrim, now Mass Effect. I'm afraid I'm becoming a rpg addict!!

I'm on my third bottle of wine. You're lucky I even talked about saves [View:http://forums.xbox.com/emoticons/emotion-4.gif].

If you think the auto-save system in Mass Effect 3 is bad then you are going to have a nightmare with the first game.

You need to save often in the first because relying on the auto-saves could see you losing over an hours progress if you die.

True!  *shudders at the memory*.

I remember my first full playthrough doing Noveria got off the train and proceeded to play for another hour until that part against the Matirarch WHERE I DIED and had to go ALL the way back to the train station.

Duly noted! Although I was talking about manual saves in the OP.
