I purchased a pre paid 2100 points card today and redeemed it on my Xbox fine a few hours ago. I then attempted to purchase 'Alan Wake - The Writer' DLC for 560 points and received an error code. My points balance dropped by the 560 points so I assumed the purchase went through and the download had trouble starting so I tried again with the same result but with my points balance staying the same.
I've been following the status page and realised there are technical difficulties so I waited a while and just tried again now. Success, the DLC is now downloading but I've also been charged ANOTHER 560 MS Points, paying twice for the same DLC.
For the record I checked my download history before I tried purchasing again and the DLC did not show up on the list at all! I totally understand you are working on the problems right now but obviously I'm concerned I've lost 560 points and would like to know if they will be refunded automatically as the service is brought back online.
