Issue redeeming 3 Month Live code

So I'm having an issue trying to redeem a prepaid 3 Month Live code. I'm receiving the following error: XBOS-3008 89d44ad3-39ad-4916-ba6c-1e447c5f2910 2013/12/05 - 08:02:13 UTC

This occurs when trying to redeem through Xbox.com or through an Xbox One. I have no billing info on file at the moment as I'd prefer to not keep a credit card attached to my account. My current sub isn't up until December 7th. Any idea how to get past this?

When I enter in the 25 digit code from the card, it recognizes the card as a 3 month sub. But when I go to confirm it I receive the error code/string listed above.

I spent about an hour and half with support through chat with no luck. Getting escalated to the advocacy team. We'll see how that goes.

Ever get this sorted in the end? I bought my code two weeks ago getting the same message but a different one on 360. I spent 2 hours with support chat one time and then another 90 mins or so tried all sorts with them but no luck. Both times they ended up saying its a widespread problem affecting many countries but after 2 weeks I say BS. My xbox live is going to run out soon...I bought my code 3 weeks early assuming it would work straight away but I wonder if it ever will.

Good luck your going to need it, iv'e been waiting 5 weeks and spoke to 15 advisers 15 lol hahaha wtf!!!!!. I received an e mail from a well known computer magazine asking if i would publish my story because 15 advisers just takes the ****.

well its october and it seems there has been no solution to this problem.
