Issue playing full version of Geometry Wars Evolved 2

On September 9th 2008 I purchased the full version of GWE2 with the gamertag (LiQuiD 0v3rkiLL) I am currently using. I have switched to a new slim Xbox 360 since then, making me redownload the game. One issue though, it is trying to make me pay for the full version all over again. You can check my achievements, I have 4 or 5 for the game! And it also says in my download history that I purchased it, but when I download it from there it only downloads the trial.

Can anyone help me please?

To be safe, I'd check the Xbox LIVE Marketplace for Geometry Wars Evolved 2 and double-check that you have purchased the full game rather than the trial.

Otherwise, you might need to do a License Transfer.  Go to http://www.xbox.com/drm and on the right side, click "Start the license transfer process."  Follow the directions on the screen and then you'll just need to re-download the game to your console.

Well for one I remember purchasing it and two I have achievements for it, which are impossible to get in a trial for any arcade game.

However I did not know I needed to do a license transfer, but I just went through that whole process (and it says it was done successfully) and STILL cannot redownload it for free.

In that case, the only other thing I can think of is that maybe it was bought with a different Xbox LIVE account.

Try going to the Geometry Wars Evolved 2 page on Xbox.com (click here), and look at "Full Game - Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 2."  Does it say "Already purchased" or "800 points"?

It says 800 points, but I know for a fact it was bought with THIS account/gamertag. I don't have any others.

My final suggestion would be to follow Mister Gwyther's post at the top: I can't play my downloaded games/addons.  Otherwise, you may need to call Xbox Support regarding the issue.  Sorry!

If you are seeing the option to purchase the game on your account, it probably wasn't purchased with your account. Have you checked your Download History, as outlined in the sticky post
