Indie Game not working

Does anyone one know where I can report an indie game that is not working, or get some help getting it working?

I phoned support about it and was told to post in the forum to try and get it resolved in the forum first before a refund can be issued.  Thanks to the new forum layout things aren't that easy to find any more!

Are you connected to the LIVE service when trying to play the game. You need to be logged in with the account that purchased the game for it to be playable. This only pertains to Indie Games.

I've ran into this problem as well.

I enter the game and I get an error that says that I have to update to play the game. This happens without a confirmation prompt asking me to update the game. It's as if it just skips over it.

Exact text:

"In order to play this game, you need to download and apply the available update. Please start the game again and accept the update."

Again this is the first window to pop up. Nothing else.

Nehris, is this only happening with one indie game in particular? Also, is your console connected to LIVE?

I tried a couple indie games, and it has the same result. At the time I am on Live and can get into arcade and normal games as normal. I only run into this problem on indie games. I've tried clearing my cache, soft resetting my modem and also deleting and re-downloading after said steps.

Where are you located currently? If you're in the US, have you tried deleting the games from your console, clearing the cache, and then re-downloading them from your download history?

I am in the US and I have tried these steps recently and the problem still persists. I am unable to play the game at all. The same window comes up with a prompt to update.

Have you ever been able to play indie games on your console? Are you on a child account by chance?

I'm not on a child account, and I've been able to play indie games before. I had FlipSide that worked just fine. Recently though I've been getting this error. I have made any changes to my console or account except required updates for Live and games.

Okay, there are a couple things we can try at this point. First off, can you try removing the HDD, and downloading those games to a USB flash drive configured for use with Xbox 360? If the games don't play from that different memory device, then see if you have a friend who will allow you to recover your GT on their console, so you can try downloading and playing the games there. Please let me know how it goes!
