I want to link my Xbox to my EA account.

I can't link my Xbox to my EA account because I get an 'Account ineligible' error message telling me to log off my Xbox account.

I've talked to EA advisers and they tell my Xbox account was linked to a deleted EA account. They've tried restoring my account a couple times but that doesn't work. They've asked me if I had a child account. I've told them no. I've been sent here.

How do I unlink my my Xbox account from a deleted EA account? How can I not get an error message when trying to link my Xbox account to my EA account? Is there anything Xbox support can do from this end?

This might be a dumb question but have you tried signing into your EA account with your xbox account?

I'm afraid that if EA support can't do anything then it might be time to create a new EA account and link the Xbox account to it.

Try this mate

EA website :

  1. Log out of any accounts on the ea website

  2. Click the support tab at the top left

  3. Contact us

  4. Click on any game and just follow along till it says login

  5. Under the log in. It with the username and password it says sign in with Xbox live

  6. Sign in with your Xbox account and it won’t show you your password but it’ll show your email and how many characters there is

I think you should try to delete the old EA account and then create a new one... so you should login on EA account and delete it first ;)

Wow, thanks for the replies.

I've done as you guys have said but I still get an error message when trying to sign in with my Xbox account. I can't use the online functions of Mass Effect 3, Mirror's Edge Catalyst or Mass Effect Andromeda.

This all started with the demo for FIFA 20. I was playing it but it asked me to sign in with a bogus email I must have typed in for Mass Effect 3 in 2012 while I was depressed and hallucinating. I can't believe it carried onto the next console. I changed the email but got the account deleted. I wasn't told to transfer my data to my EA account with my primary email. Well, it goes to show you have to be careful with this sort of thing.

Is this the end for me? I know there are a few others stuck in my situation.

Microsoft team, please help me! EA can't do it.
