I have some diffrent opinions...

I have a diversified background in the military, 20+ hacking code professionally as well as test engineering, and the most of my child hood playing and hacking games.. I know when I was L33T...today I am getting into the business of development; software games, and have spent the last two year doing R&D. Yeah my game play is diasapoonting, bit have completed campaign on heroic...so it's now much more fun to play multiplayer... Yes at first the field rounds were a bit too powerful, although modifying the shields is not the beast physics approach...it's a hack, and a bad one... I have point blank with the pistol in the face close range 4x and they survive. I have done my research on armor abilities and live you are not actually implementing anything effective thereof is as if everyone has super Spartan armor. If you want to do it correctly the way Bidgie might have...simply calculate a modifier for the amour the player is wearing... Sine there is much computation in this, then you may look into calculating the muzzle velocity of a round at a distance. That is a much more elegant and still ugly and not very rewarding to play. your idea about forcing constraints for player team play and such is a good idea... However, what I am seeing are simply pack mentality developing, and a few players I assume have some military training performing tactical maneuvers and they are so deadly I almost think they are AI's...simply because there just is not enough time to coordinate such maneuvers so successfully. Constraints are good for simple dumb AI and burn-out strategy games, and they will tire of it soon as all the tactical played out and understood, discovered, it's like tic tac tie... Your design should be more like chess and HOU have made a food start on that, however ot is cumbersomely repetitious. Just do the same add some unknown factors like exactly when the strategic items are places, and perhaps change some of those artifacts up as well. I have noticed a minor defect in your boundary maps, when a player is killed, they pass through walls, etc... It would be possible to get a kill from the grave or last shot, but this makes it impossible. my advice on adding tactics: go straight from the HALO universe series, allow fighter fight AI's in the game, which relay tactical Intel to the players on members and just when team members touched all the tatictacial Intel they carried is unlinked just as the amour is said to have the ability to do, it might also be interesting if hitting a wall would give Intel as it contained data crystals... I am a total fan of the universe and it's technology and could go on forever... Honestly, I don't see any relevance to the TU having anything to so with the Goal of 343 of creating a more HALO like universe experience... Nothing personal. If you want to make it more of a hack and slashed do so, just don't make a fix I know that 15 year old could have made, cause at 15...well, use tour imagination.. Best regards.

OK. While none of your other posts made and sense, this is the worst.

.

What exactly are you trying to say?

.

Something something, strategy games are burnt out, something something, AI are better than players, something something, military training has something to do with gaming skill, something something, intel should be given to players which is fair in some way, rather than players having to get it themselves, because somehow that's so much more skilled.

.

I got very little out of your paragraph, but even though you seem to think you're superior to the developers, you're confusing what should and shouldn't be in multiplayer, particularly for a Halo game.

CSB, you're a Silver?! Whaaaat?

~

And anyway, WTF OP? I hope English isn't your first language, because that post was just pitiful in every respect of the word. It literally doesn't make any sense! This is a video game. Military training in real life has NOTHING to do with any aspect of gaming. You control a virtual super soldier and fight other virtual super soldiers. What is all this nonsense about executing tactical military maneuvers?

~

You're clearly new to Halo. While you think you may know what you're talking about, none of your post made any sense at all. Don't try to act like you're better at making games than the developers are. Not to mention, these "suggestions" are falling on deaf ears. "Bidgie" (aka "Bungie") is not in control of this game anymore, nor are they in any way associated witht he future of Halo. 343 Industries now controls it, and this is not their website or forum. If you want to make suggestions, head over to halo.xbox.com and give the people over there a headache trying to comprehend your gibberish.

TL:DR

for all 3 of your posts.

Seriously, someone summarize those 3 posts for me.

My apologies, you asked for my honest and thoughtful opinion, you got a little bit roasted by me, sorry...  I care about you, cause I have been trained to profile individuals...  And I just wanted to make you swear of your Guilty Spark is not mine...how ever mentally challenged in the area of spatial English eloquence and pleasantries  I know for fact I know the Halo universe as imdepthbor more then you simply cause I just read 87% of the o line holopedian and I have ir mostly memorized... Not saying I'm umber |32-|- about it, but as for the realm of technology as a whole,,,,  I and zomg z-Crayz-12bkg. Joo...  It was the only play you didn't attack me...  And thanks fie the brutally sweet feature of kindness....

@ProtoBytes

No on simple crule tactless laymen terms: you took a Rolex and had the work order to make ot shiny, however you made some cheap fixes to an old burt and failed timex no one wants to be seen wearing and gave it to your customers as some kind of Swiss master watchmakers work of blessed workmanship...beaides the work on your GUI elements there might have been 20 to 40 Lines of code changes...If it was me no code would have had to change, just a silly xaml file... Got it?  My beef was that a 15 year old got the third degree for being smart?  And lied to about being capacious a little....that is lawsuit material, you slandered and mentally abused a child...and they know the diggrenve, he would have never made the stab if he was some umber meet kid in K12 classes....heck if he is Indian he could have a freaking phd....

@ProtoBytes

Seriously, what are you talking about?

...I'm a little lost right now.

Good, are now in the same boat as the rest of the TU Bata monkey bashers...I am trained to spot communications which are bogous, or just plane ole propaganda and ljes to make the ugly seem colorful not so bad...  And I put that amount of spoofed 'I love TU Beta' at 76%...And sense it is somewhat directly fabricated, the other poor saps believe that if they worship the gids there is a 1 mil. Point Blessing common someday due to an old Bungie wise tail about that.   the test of the threads all over the www, I indicate mixed feelings, leaning toward contempt mostly...  Honestly, I don't mind testing I have had many professional jobs, where I really helped find and offer insights which helped management deliver a good product with intuitive and user-friendly UI's....  Big no-no: what human wants constraints placed on their ability to choose how to interact with their environment?  Computers work well with them, humans think some one is playing a sick joke and get upset.   I am a bit upset, I am point named with no email, or reason.   for playing a beta?  I get punished and not rewarded?  What ever, should have just taken what ever it was I am guilty of illegally having back....  The game is quite fun, bit I am really into buying my amour and advancing....when even know the system claims it's just blimg I role play with it and try to emerged myself in the environment even self encumber and act out abilities the armor should hand bit the limited old legacy systems can't handel that many objects in the object decision tree pipeline....  Oh yeah, don't like my English?  Well you can't tell me I did miserable as an anglings major...get my drift?  Hech, you hoodlums are peibibably hodlywinkers and drumming up more hostilities, though when the enraged read my gibberish and relate as if I am speaking msml to the USB II bus....as you put it...lost?   and I agreement with that...you peoples could is some real brutal honesty and insights that shatter prideful egos....honestly if there was no software license law agiamat it, I could decomple, add the reflected mail injectors to mod the shields and everything else without causing render boundaries to break due to the, dish new hardness if the shields...I supposed am the only idiot savant in the room that can decomple somthinfnin the mind with out getting dirty....bwlive me this the the I put you should be looking for not running off cause that are too young.... Hell Ibfoind the freaking y2k big 15 years before anyone suspected bit was an oops!  At age 9.

 hope we are crystal now, cause this banter is over.

@ProtoBytes

No, we're not clear at all. You don't know how to speak English, so this isn't the place for you. You were not an "anglings" (English) major, and if you are, you were taught in a country that doesn't know basic conjugation of the English language. For example, near the end of your text wall, you stated "I agreement with that". That doesn't make any sense. If you speak another language, there are forums for that, but this is a place for people who can read and write English.

I would try to respond to whatever nonsense you're writing about, but I can't understand it!

... Um, so, what exactly did I just walk into here? :S
