i have purchased Xbox Live Gold and it is saying i haven't

Recently I purchased a special offer (2 months for £2) on Gold for Xbox Live. Everything is saying that i am gold but my xbox is saying otherwise. My subscriptions also says that I am still running on a free membership. please tell how i can fix this.
