I cant remove payment details or turn off auto renewal.

I want to remove my dad's credit card from the system as it is about to expire and I just bought a 12 month gold membership from Game. The problem is; when I try to remove the credit card, it displays: "Can't retrieve information from Xbox LIVE. Please try again later. Status code: 80162765" When I try to remove it using Xbox.com, it tells me that "An outstanding balance exists on this payment instrument." So I tried to turn off auto-renewal, but it just said "An error occurred cancelling automatic renewal."

I need help ASAP.

You need to call support and talk to billing to have them help you sort it out.

I wish it could be easier, but I guess they do this because they dont want you to leave Xbox Live. Only thing is, i'm not leaving, I just want to change to redeem codes.

I'll call support when my dad gets back from work, he has all the credit card details.

When it comes to billing information, they make you call in order to verify you are the owner. From the errors you're getting it sounds like you need to add a different credit card to pay off the balance you owe and have support turn off auto-renewal so you can remove the cards when your account reverts to silver.

I'm not sure what I owe. Since its a credit card, that hasn't expired yet, I just assumed that everything was being payed?

14/07/2011 <order ID> Purchase

14/07/2011 <order ID> Purchase - Batman: Arkham Asylum

06/05/2011 <order ID> Purchase

06/05/2011 <order ID> Purchase - Saints Row 2

It seems to have purchased the games twice? Every purchase has a different ID, so I can think why this is?

Call billing and have them look at your purchase log...maybe there is fraudulant activity, or maybe the system is messing up...either way they should be able to rectify it.
