the best thing to do in that situation is to contact customer support @ 1800 4myxbox.  they will be able to verify the purchase and correct the issue that you are having.  i hope that this reply helps you out

it usualy can take 48 hours but it has passed that by now contact micosoft suppory

You may also want to check your bank account and verify that you were actually charged for the points. If you weren't, you likely didn't actually complete the transaction to purchase the MS Points. If you were charged, then you have that info when speaking with support.
