How Do You Play? (FPS Playstyles).

I came across this FPS playstyle quiz just now. Kinda cool, imo. I wound up classifying as a Support player. What about you guys?

I couldn't be arsed to take the actual quiz thing, but generally when I play shooters I take a more supportive role. If it's CTF I defend the base and help out any team-mates battling in the middle of the map through a scoped weapon if I have one. If it's Team Deathmatch I tend to grab the power weapons. hang back and actually use them when they can actually change the tactical position of the team (as opposed to just grabbing them and running in to get some cheap kills). This is all pretty much based on the Halo experience (my favourites FPS), but if I'm playing something else like Battlefield, I tend to play a similar role (LOVED the support class on BC1).

So overall, I'd say I'm happy to take the supportive role and let other players reap the glory of doing the actual flag-capturing.

It labeled me as a Shock Trooper. Typically when playing FPS online, I like to run around and shoot people in the face.

The Support motto: "Together we stand; divided we fall (Behind every great soldier is great support)"

Description: The lifeblood of your team's Defensive and defensive efforts, you often serve the role of 'Johnny-on-the-spot' with supplies, healing respawn, or preventative defense measures. You're also the sniper protecting a critical resource or location...

I was ranked a shock trooper. Question 8:  It will be a cold day in hell before I take commands from some little 10 yr old puke.  :}

The Recon motto: "Always one step ahead of the game"

Description: Forget the front line -- you're *behind* enemy lines... or perhaps lurking in the dark corners waiting to strike when least expected. Crafty, nimble, or just FAST, your place in a team is to be right where the enemy least suspects -- sneaking or scouting behind enemy lines. Sneaking up behind their commander or best warrior for a surprise kill at the most opportune moment or simply spreading chaos by distracting the enemy at just the right time.

I am a support player. But really it depends on what game/game mode I am playing, and if I am lone wolfing or in a party.

Recon, I supposed that's right. I prefer to move quickly around the map and drop everyone I can but doing it in a methodical and smart way. Getting behind the enemy and killing them is alot better than running right into their base guns blazing.

I got Recon but I usually play support when possible. Probably got recon because I don't report to people and I don't always inform the team of stuff.

Got put as a "Commander" pretty much what i am, I play aggressive i lead my teams to victory.
