Help with billing address

Hello!

I want to buy MS points, but in the address details it shows USA and I live in Canada - it's not clear to me why my account chooses USA, but it's grayed out and I can't change it.

Is there any place where I can change my account's country to Canada? I opened it just a short while ago and was already living in Canada (and BTW never lived in the US anyway...) - I didn't see any way to choose a country when opening the account, so I suppose this is some default setting or whatever?

I suppose I can just put some bad address there but what's the point, right?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Thanks for the quick response!

In that case, another question:

Does this affect anything but my ability to buy points online? Can I just stay with this account (got a really cool gamer tag - my name - and don't want to lose it) and, say, buy points in one of the stores that sell games here, or will I encounter other issues in the future with this?

and also - the windows live account this account is linked to is in Canada, any chance this means this is somehow reversible anyway?

Again thanks for the help!

1 lets see ms points are region locked to the region they were purchased in so US ms points can only be redeemed on a US gamertag so canadian ms points will not work on a US account

2nd generally you want to match your physical region with your account region

this avoids problems like region locked content

there is too many games to list that have that

for example us blackops dlc cannot be purchased in canada

3rd no the windows live id region does not affect the gamertag region

at this time there is no migration option to canada or the us

Thanks guys, I opened a new user. It's a shame though that this can't be changed, sounds simple enough.
