Heavy Hitter

For the Heavy Hitter achievement, does it have to be one standard attack that hits one enemy for 250 damage, or can I use something like a sweep attack?

Not sure, but I know its really easy. Blood Sacrifice combined with precise striking and reaver can easily get that cheevo.

Needs to be onne attack I think.

Arrow of Slaying is an easy way to get it, also Mana Clash on an Emmissary. Hex of Death + Death Cloud is another easy way to get it.

Like Schuey19 stated; It has to be on one enemy.

  • If you are a mage: The mage class is by far the easiest class to get the achievement. The ¨mana clash¨ (from the Spirit spell tree) is almost guaranteed to do over 250 damage. Another spell that often deal damage over 250 is the ¨Crushing Prison¨ (from the Spirit spell tree) if your target gets shattered by the spell.
  • If you are a Rouge: The easiest way is using the Arrow of slaying (from the Archery Skill tree), you you will well over 250 by the time you reach level 12.
  • If you are a Warrior: This class is the hardest to try to get this achievement. But you can do more than 250 if you have more than 50 in strength and have several buffs on you.

Activate Beserker then Final Blow and you should get 250+ (buffs will make it easier).

I'm not sure which spell got it, but I cast tempest followed by blizzard on the archdemon. I thought it was a combo of the two spells together that got the cheevo to pop...

I didn't get it till Awakening. Can't remember which spell I used.

Its easy in awakening. With peons plight you can do like 800 damage with one hit, that was my level 35 with 100 strength though,

Thanks for the advice.  It appears that my warrior is not as cool as I thought he was.
