Has the new patch (1.05) changed the game DRAMATICALLY better?

I personally havent had much problem with the bugs.

With the patch I've noticed a dramatic decrease in the most common glitches like game freezes, failing to execute VATS commands, etc.

That's what I like to hear! It pays off to be patient sometimes. I was gonna wait for the New Vegas GOTY edition but I couldnt pass up a $17 price tag.

Before I installed the game I would get random game freezes and stuck in doorways every 35-45 minutes of gameplay. Has nothing to do with the patch(since it was downloaded upon purchase) Since Ive installed the game i have experienced ) issues

I have noticed the game has ran a lot smoothly lately!

Have this new patch fixed everything for real? So if I play New Vegas right now, will I find Dennis Crocker after being idolized by the Boomers?

Everything?  No, not by a long shot.  Mostly the glitches that the patches have fixed are things like game freezes, super long load times, getting stuck in VATS, getting stuck on landscape, and similar.  I don't know of any quest type glitches that the patches have fixed.  You can always check though, you never know.  Also note that the specific bug you are talking about doesn't always happen, I was able to find the Ambassador despite already being idolized by the Boomers.  So I'm thinking that it may actually be related to having completed some specific Boomers related quest like Volare.  I imagine most people probably run off and complete that quest as soon as they get it, but I took my time about it, and may have found and talked to Crocker before finishing it.
