Harddrive too small for downloaded game

I purchased and downloaded a game on xbox.com for my son. Only realised that I had purchased a 5,46gb game and his console only has a 4gb memory unit. I have a 8gb usb memory unit but cannot download onto it. Is there anything I can do? Feel like a bit of an idiot....obviously not a tech-savvy mom....

Yes, I formatted the usb for the console and my console recognises it as a memory unit but does not give an option to download the game to it.

What game did you purchase? Games like Need for Speed and Battlefield 4 needs a hard disk to install and play the game.

All right. That should be no problem to download. There are, however, some USB memories that does not work to download to. Check if you can download a demo to the USB. :) If this does not work, try another USB and then I would suggest to call up Support for more help.
