Halo 4 Multiplayer Poor Framerates and Lots of Lag

Starting to sound like a broken record for the consoles. Which kind of sucks because I was actually having fun playing Halo 4 multi when I wasn't experiencing horrible framerate drops and or massive lag spikes on the good old peer to peer servers. Doesn't matter what resolution I run the game in 720 or 1080p the game has massive framerate issues in online big team survival mode. I wanted to like this game but sadly the lack of vision from the developers and publishers to include dedicated servers on a massive title like this is disturbing. No online optimization in Halo 4 completely kills any buzz 343 have built up for me while playing this game. I'm not sure if it's the maps or the game mode and or the lag from the crap peer to peer servers people are playing on.

Anyone playing Dust 514 on PS3 and if so how is the client performance and lag while playing?

not having problems here. check your NAT settings, if they aren't open, you'll have issues.

BTB lag is horrid.  When the other team is teleporting as you are firing at them and they kill you with two shots it is time to leave the game.  I agree that the time for dedicated servers was when Halo 3 was released.

If the host has a terrible internet then it will lag.

It's either crisp and clean or very very bad. I've seen no inbetween. I don't play Flood because of this. If there is a bad host, you will be killed/kill way to easy in that mode.

Reset router and made sure connection was running full speed with open NAT. Just dropped into a game and it was lagging so bad it was killing the framerate. So I'm thinking it's the server quality effecting the gamespeeds. I jumped into game chat and asked my teammates if they were also getting the same thing and they all said yes. So it looks like the gameplay online will be limited by the peer to peer nature of the game. It's too bad because I like the game. I can't stand playing the game like this however it just kills the experience.

Get a group of friends together that you know have good connections & play with them. This will reduce your chances of having a bad host.

It's been getting worse the more I play. Even with all friends in a spartan ops lobby it still lags all the time.

Well done Microsoft and 343... You lost, at least one customer, I was going to get the XBOX ONE because of Halo 5!... Now I'll do like my two housemates and get a PS4.

The lag just kill the experience. At times it's impossible to play, even with a fiber broadband connection lol.

Oh by the way, if 343 could do something about their incredibly slow website that be a good thing too lol again!

Ciao.

I like how you bads blame 343 for you having awful connections. Get better internet kiddies.

Dedicated servers for Halo 4 were a must, along with a working version of the game...

By that I mean the 360 can't handle Halo 4's graphics properly, remember that 343i actually toned the graphics down to get it to work somewhat?
