Getting an error when trying to play Battlefield: Bad Company 2 on line.

Hello, I've just bought Battlefield: Bad Company 2 for the Xbox, and I wanted to play it on Xbox Live after I'd finished the campain. But when I try to enter the multiplayer part of the game (after entering my EA-account details) I get the error: "Your gamer profile does not have the correct permissions to access Xbox Live functionality."

I have turned off all of the family settings, my account has adult status and yet I can't access multiplayer. I've also tried contacting the EA support, and they told me to "promote" my Xbox account by turning off those same settings, which I already did. After that they told me to ask for help from Xbox support. Please help me!

@Smwutches I do have gold membership on that account, I can play other games like HALO: Reach and Call of Duty: Black Ops on siad account without issues.

bump, problem still not solved. I've looked on the internet and the only thing that seems to fix it is apperently to make a new adult account and giving that gold status. My account still has four months of gold status so that wouldn't be an option for me.

@meetequation21 Do you have your account set up as an adult or child account? EA have a policy not to allow under 16s to play online. If your account is set up as under the age of 16 you won't be able to play until the date of birth you entered reaches 16.

@tafkapts I have it set up as an adult account with everything enabled, they asked me that before and it didn't work.
