Gauntlet Seven Sorrows won't play after downloading form Live.

I have downloaded the game multiple times and I keep getting the same message pertaining to the game can't start. No error codes are given, just the generic message.

Here's the message in it's entirety:

X Game Error

The game couldn't start.  Try downloading the game again.

I have tried deleting the game from the Hard Drive and re-installing it multiple times and still get the same message.  I have also deleted the game, system cache, Marketplace system cache, and the system update.  Then I re-booted the XBOX, re-downloaded the game and I am still getting the same message.  I have tried doing these steps multiple times and varying each step just to see if my results would change.  However, after numerous attempts the results have always been the same.

Has anyone else experienced the same problem with this game?  And if so, what did you do to resolve it.  I am getting really frustrated given I went through all the troubleshooting documents I found pertaining to this type of problem.  I just want to play the game I purchased.  Any help in getting it to work would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. I have an older version of the XBOX (Not the slim model) if that helps.

Usually that "Game could not start" error is associated with something being borked with the system update.

You might want to call support for help deleting and redownloading the system update.

The problem is with the backwards compatibility emulator that is required to play original Xbox titles.

You may be able to resolve this using the steps in the following link:

Hey there Woods! Can you confirm that you have met all the requirements for playing Original Games (forums.xbox.com/.../25.aspx) as well as trying the troubleshooting in that guide? Can you try a different Hard Drive to see if you have the same issue there? Let us know, thanks!

I ended up calling support no fix for the issue after trying what all we could .. The good news is I got my points refunded and a couple extra ...It would really be nice if the ON Demand xbox classics they offer were tested better . Upset but still gaming so Rock on ya'll
