Fallout:NV - freezing

Since the last update this game is a complete joke.  Now I'm well aware Beth games are notorious for this, but even by their standards the amount of freezing goes beyond the norm.  Before applying the update i was maybe getting 2 or 3 freezes, but now it happens around every 30 mins and that's discounting the times it freezes when you enter/exit a door.

Unless you save every 10 mins or so, the game has become infuriating to play.  RANT OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When did a new update come out?

I just played this a few days ago and I didn't suffer from any freezing. In fact I havent had a problem with freezing ever and I bought this when if first came out.

It really depends on how far into the game you are.  Had no problems until around i reached level 20ish and then bang, i 'm encountering them all the time.  When i revert back to a much earlier save (around level 10) there's no major issues.  Scanning the official forums, this seems to be a common problem and people aren't sure whether it's caused by the new update or the recent DLC.

You are aware this game was not developed by Bethesda, right? It was developed by Obsidian. And that's the reason for constant freezing and other game breaking glitches. That's just how it is with any game developed by them. Dungeon Siege 3 is coming out soon. But I'm going to wait until they release 3 or 4 patches before I play it.

I'm fully aware of that, however, it's beth's game engine and there's dozens of bugs that were in FO3, so i have no problem saying it's by and large a Beth product.  After all, you're only as good as the tools you are given.

My New Vegas experience has been bug free!

Clear the Xbox Cache and redownload it or play offline to see if it helps.

Glad I've never had a prob.....u should stop downloading porn on ur box, that could b the isue...../facepalm

Maybe you should learn to construct a coherent sentence before entering threads and acting the smart***, huh?  Run along and troll some other thread with your inane nonsense.

[/quote]"You're only as good as the tools you're given" is a load of crap that failures tell themselves to avoid self accountability. Bethesda games have noted difficulties that carry from game to game. But nowhere near the scale of problems that any game made by Obsidian has. Not just New Vegas. Alpha Protocol and even going as far as back as KOTOR 2, Obsidian is simply incapable of making a game that isn't riddled with glitches

In the decades that I have been gaming, only twice have I encountered a game breaking glitch so severe that I couldn't even start a new game. It was completely broken. Once this generation, and once in the last. Both Obsidian made games. Trying to push the severity of these problems off on Bethesda is really just ignorance.

Delete the update of HH ..maybe that help you. My game didn't freeze too much before download it; now is freezing like you said . I had to turn on Fast travel auto save.

Nowhere on the scale of Obisidian?  Please, this is Bethesada we're talking about here, the devs that released Oblivion, a game that still has a major potential game breaker contained within it and a bug that you simply miss by luck rather than by choice; Mankar not entering the portal.  Every single Oblivion quest, yes every single quest contains some sort of bug/glitch.  The game still contains in excess of 10,000 bugs/glitches e.g npcs disappearing, quests not updating and so on.  I'm not saying Obisidan are whiter than white, but what i am saying though,  is Beth are every bit as bad.  If over 10,000 bugs isn't considered to be riddled with bugs, then yes, you're point stands.
