Fable II - On Demand - Corrupt Data

A while back when Fable II was released as episodic content I downloaded the episode 1 demo and paid for the first chapter.

Recently i tried to re-download this to play again but got an error when attempting to download Fable II (the free first part) from my history. Other parts download fine.


After a while I gave up and decided to just re-purchase Fable II - the full game - as it is now available on demand.

I download the full game at 6.6gb. I also download all available DLC.

The DLC is ok - but i cannot play the game. Every time i go to my games list it appears for one second and then vanishes.

When I check my memory settings it says that the data is corrupt. I have re-downloaded this three times now with the same results - deleting and re-setting cache in between. This is very frustrating.

I'm having a similar issue as you man. Bought all the episodic content when they were available but now I can't download episode 1. A pop up just comes up and says can't download fable 2. It is rather annoying as well since I paid quite abit for all the episodes and now have an urge to replay the game.

I believe the episodic content is no longer available for download on the Marketplace. I believe it was replaced with a single game download that had the episodes rolled in to it.

I don't think that's the case. I was able to download episode 2, 3 ,4 and 5 through download history. It's just episode 1 I'm having trouble downloading.

If the issue is unresolved is it possible to get a refund?

iVarz: Under the Games folder (not Fable II) there is an Unknown Game there. Delete that for me. Then delete anything else with that icon in the Fable II folder. Clear your system cache, restart the console, and then redownload the content from your Download History. Does this clear up the issue?

iVarz: If you can't seem to sort this issue out by redownloading it, perhaps contacting phone support (support.xbox.com/contact-us) for a refund would be appropriate. I'm sorry I couldn't help you out here.
