EA

Ok, so basically, as most of you know, EA (Electronic Arts) do not let you go online, unless you have a adult account. (Which I do not). My dad, gives me full permission to play on games such as, Battlefield and Fifa. So I was wondering, if there was any way in Microsoft changing my DOB, on my Xbox Live account, or converting it to an Adult account. OR, If there was anyway in transferring all my details (Gamerscore, Gamertag and my saved progress) onto another account. I have researched this for a few days now. With no luck in finding a solution. I have been following these guys: http://forums.electronicarts.co.uk/bp-technical-support/300796-xbox-360-child-restrictions-6.html   To see if they have found a solution. They have not. Apparently, when you contact Microsoft, they will do nothing. EA also. And if you try and change your email address nothing happens. So, I was wondering if someone can do something about this, or give me a solution.

Thanks.

From an Angry EA & Microsoft customer.

Hi there. There is no way for Microsoft to change the date of birth on your account, neither can you transfer game saves or gamerscore across to a new one if you wish to create one. Sorry.

You could try logging in on live.com and changing your DOB there.

I've already tried that. Made a new email, and created an EA using that email.

If you're not of age then you're not of age. You could walk into a pub, say you have permission from your father to drink alcohol and the barman would still refuse to serve you because you're not 18/21. EA's servers, EA's rules.

Yeah, but fifa is a 3+ game, and I've been online before, and there's no inappropriate content at all.

I have read read up on this issue over on the EA forums and people are saying that your parents can send in written permission to EA to allow you to play on their servers.

I have also seen that, but other sources tell me that when you do that, they deny it and they will not accept it.

Hi there!

I read you created a new Windows Live ID. Did you create one with an "adult" date of birth? If so, it is possible to transfer your gamertag (with gamerscores) to that new Windows Live ID. Did you try it? Here are some instructions on how to do it:

EA do not block you based on your Live account age, they base it on your Origin account age which they might have gotten when you played online with an EA game on your console the first time.

If you want to get online you will need to create an Origin at http://www.origin.com account that is 13+ to play online and link it to your Xbox Gamertag. Or you will need to contact EA to change the DoB on your Origin account by going to https://help.ea.com/contact-us
