Don't prestige when you get to 20/80

I just got it and I had the option to enter prestige again. I was curious what would happen, knowing that 20 was the max. Well I found out that you get a prestige token and are set back to 20/1. Instantly turning off the Xbox doesn't help, either. So unless you are dying for that extra prestige token, don't let your curiosity overwhelm you.

Oh well. I guess I'm not done with this game quite yet...

Yeah that's what I figured.

20th 78, about to max and I darn sure am not prestiging again, 20 is enough, LOL. I have several friends that are all resetting their stats, but I am not going that route. They just start over from level 1 and have to prestige again, with nothing, gear, rank, nothing. They do keep their overall stats in lobby leaderboards. Its funny seeing a 2nd prestige guy with 25000 caps and 100000 kills.

Yeah, well I found that everything you unlock early is sufficient. Double XP speeds things up quite a bit and is especially useful during double XP weekends (quad XP). It helps a lot for those of us not wanting to spend a lot of time on the game and has allowed me to hit 20/80 with less than 9 days played.

I got all 5 classes first and then the packages as they came available. I did unlock gear once and then nothing but Double XP. I found unlock gear to be a bit of a waste in comparison. The only thing I'm hooked on in this game is the Specialist package, which if I recall, can't be unlocked with unlock gear.

dont think i will ever make it that far but good to know! thanks for the info.

Just to make sure I understand what you're saying, after 20th prestige, you just level up 1 to 80 over and over, and get a prestige token each time you reset?  That's cool, I guess.  But what's left to buy after getting and spending 20+ tokens?

wow you mean it works like all other prestige levels? Who knew!

Google.

The fact that you *can* Prestige again is a good thing...

I suppose if someone used unlock gear or double XP a lot, then they may regret not getting 5 custom classes and/or the callsign packages. It also gives the ability to reset stats without having to pre-save a token on your way to 20.
